Senoue-san (S): (Talking to Hoshino-san) ...the broadcast is...
Hoshino-san (H): (Talking to Senoue-san) ...this actually... the studio...
S: Oh, it's starting already.
H: Oh! Oops. (Turns to the camera)
S: Uh-oh. (Turns to the camera, making his Sonic plush face front)
S: Let's do it then.
H: Well then, tonight it's time again for Sonic Station...
H&S: LIVE! (poses)

The 2nd broadcast has started!

H: Good evening, everyone!
S: Good evening!
H: It's time for Sonic Station LIVE! We are the MC of this broadcast, the Creative Director Hoshino, and...
S: Sound Director, Jun. Nice to meet you!
H: Glad to meet you!
S: And...?
H: And! Entering very smoothly...
S: [His T-shirt] says "Supersonic Speed"!
Nanmoku-san (N): Hello! I'm the assistant, Nanmoku from SEGA. Pleasure to meet you!
H&S: Glad to have you!
Everyone claps - Senoue-san with his Sonic Plush.

N: Well, please excuse my sudden appearance. Last time I joined the stream just with my voice outside of the camera frame.
S: Somewhere in that corner.
H: There.
N: But today, I would like to join this stream on screen and assist the broadcast.
H: That's great.
N: Then first, please tell us what kind of program this is.
H: Yes. Sonic Station LIVE!, or SoniSute (ソニステ) in short, is a broadcast brought to you from an obscure place somewhere in Station Square...
S: Hey, wait. Where are we now? *laughs*
N: What is this place...?

H: ...a broadcast studio in there. This is one of the sets of Studio Station Square.
S: Oh, I see.
N: Aha.
H: A base-themed one.
S: Cool!

N: So we are broadcasting from the base-themed set today.
H: Join the Resistance!

What's this broadcast about?
H: So in this program we will bring you various information about SEGA's blue hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog in a broad, shallow and laid-back manner.
S: In 2020, there will be many information on movie, music, merchandise and so on for Sonic, which we will cover in the broadcast. This is the second broadcast, right?
H: Yes.
N: The time flew fast, don't you think?
S: No, not really.
N: Oh. Well, this is the second broadcast so there may be viwers who watch this for the first time. Hoshino-san and Senoue-san, would you introduce yourself about what you do for Sonic series?
H: Yes, then I'll begin. At SEGA I started as a character designer, then I worked as Art Director for some Sonic games. Now I'm not only supervising games but also merchandises and other stuff in a broader field of creative as the Creative Director.
N: I see. What about you, Senoue-san?
S: As one of the Sound Directors of Sonic series I've been working on various Sonic titles from the 90s. Additionally, I'm also actively holding live performances of the Sonic music. The latest title I worked on as one of the main members is this "Team Sonic Racing" which was released last year. Today I brought the soundtrack CD, not the game itself, but well. Other than composing new pieces for this title as the lead composer, I also arranged various classical sounds from the series. Please listen to them if you are interested!
N: You can enjoy the sounds which are very fitting to a racing game.

N: You know, these two are people with amazing achievements. Even though they are doing the MC here. Please remember their names!
H: Hahaha.

N: So, this is the second broadcat. How do you feel about it?
S: How we feel?
N: Yes. What have you been doing in the past month? Well, what have I been doing...? We were trying to figure out how to do the first broadcast.
S: Well, we still are right now.
N: Right, we are still trying to figure out the best way to do it.
H: Haha.
N: I rewatched the archive of last time's broadcast, and thought... it's better not to look back the past.
S: The past? *laughs*
N: Yeah, just like Sonic, I should just keep looking forward. Last time, I was so nervous that I didn't build a good conversation.
S: You're saying that you weren't on the same wavelength as we were.
N: Yes.
H: So that's your point for improvement.
N: Exactly. I shall be on the same page as you two and inform the viewers correctly on what they need to know.
H: I see!
N: Oh, I'm starting the livestream with a feedback round...
*H&S laugh*

N: Well, many things are happenin around the world right now and the air is easy to tend to the negative side, but since we are the ones who provide entertainment to the world, we're hoping to lighten up the society a little by bringing you the latest Sonic news.
H: Exactly. Please watch the stream at your home, relaxed.
S: Enjoy it.
N: Alright, then let's move on to the first section!

NEWS HEADLINE

The section titles are now animated!

Sonic the Movie - related game collaboration events
H: News Headline!
N: In this section, we will inform you about the latest Sonic news. The first one is the information on Sonic the Movie. Let's watch this video first!

Caption: "Coming soon"

N: So that was the PV! Let us brifly introduce the Sonic the Movie to you. Please show the next slide.
The synopsis of Sonic the Movie is as follows: "Sonic, who had been living a peaceful life, is suddenly attacked by enemies who came after his superpower, and reaches the town of Green Hills of the Earth on his escape journey. Despite his longing for a friend/ally, Sonic has been living in hiding. However, he is found out by the evil genius Dr. Robotnik and gets almost caught. In his critical scene, Sonic meets Tom, the town's sheriff, and asks for help... A super speed adventure no one has ever seen before starts!"
H: Hmm. Sound exciting!
N: The release date for Japan hasn't been decided yet, but can't wait for it to come out! It's a big hit overseas after all.
H: Yes.
N: By the way, a little late but I was allowed to watch it, and it was an entertainment that is very easy to understand and enjoy.
S: It's fun to watch from the beginning to the end.
N: Yes. You don't get bored watching it, and it's a movie you can recommend to people right after finishing it.
S: Yes, yes.
N: It's a pity that people in Japan can't watch it in theaters now, but if you would wait a little bit longer.
H: Just a little bit more.

N: Do you have anything to add?
H: The personality of Sonic was really good. He is a really good guy, and true to his own feelings. They made him a very loveable character.
N: Someone you would want as a friend. You will never get bored.
H: Yeah.
S: You would most likely be at the mercy of him though. He would be dragging you around.
H: That might be true.

N: There are both the good and bad sides. But it's a very exciting story, so I really hope you can watch it in the theaters soon.
S: I wanna use my movie ticket already!
H: Right, you already bought it.
S: I did.
N: We are waiting in our best condition.

N: Well, even though the release in Japan is still undecided, there are already collaboration campaigns taking place for various games to liven up the event. The first is this one.

プロサッカーチームをつくろう! (さかつく) - Let's Make Professional Soccor Team! (Saka Tsuku)

N: In the smartphone app "Let's Make Professional Soccor Team! (Saka Tsuku) - Road to World", you can obtain uniform and emblems with Sonic deisgn. There will be Sonic designed signboards as well. The collaboration ends on April 1st. Please play it!

チェインクロニクル - Chain Chronicle

N: Next comes this one.
S: Oh yes!
N: To celebrate the release of Sonic the Movie, Sonic collaboration event takes place in smartphone game Chain Chronicle, from today! All players will obtail SSR Sonic just by logging in, so please try it out. The collaboration takes place between today, March 27th to April 7th. Please show us the next slide.

N: This is the 3D model of Sonic in-game. Hoshino-san, you supervised it, right?
H: Yes. They made him really cute, so I asked them to adjust to add some coolness too. And this is the end product.
N: I can imagine it wasn't easy to recreate Sonic-ness with this small body.
H: He does various actions with such short arms and legs.
N: The development team did their best.
H: Yes they did. Please play and take a look.
N: I heard there is a game footage for this too. Let's watch it and talk about it.

PV

N: I think you can hear a familiar song. Senoue-san?
S: Yes. The development team asked us to use the BGM of City Escape for the game, so I mixed 'Escape from the City' for this game.
N: Is it a special version for this game?
S: Yes, the song loops back to intro after one chorus.
N: I see. Wow, Sonic is really strong. He comes back after doing a loop outside the screen.
H: And he poses at the end. Such an active team player.
N: He raises attack power of the whole team too.

H: And this is his super attack, then his pose!
N: Oh, the emblem appears after the attack!
H: Looking right in the camera.
N: He is so strong!
H: He is!
N: Every player can get him, so there is no way to miss this chance, right?
H: Yeah.
N: And in the result screen, Sonic leaves from the left side and immediately comes back from the right edge of the screen.
S: Making a round trip.
H: After a round trip of the earth.
N: He is that fast.
H: A strong ally.

N: The BGM of 'Escape from the City' will play if you set Sonic as the leader or the first. So if you want to listen to Sonic music in the world of Chain Chronicle, set him as leader and enjoy Sonic with both your eyes and ears!
S: Speaking of Chain Chronicle, I used to play in CHAIN Band a lot.
N: Right!
S: I usually play in the instrumental band for Sonic, you know. In fact, the member of that band is the core for CHAIN Band too. I'd love to do live performance for this one too someday.
N: Didn't you perform at Yokosuka back then?
S: I did. Also in Akihabara.
N: I see. So Chain Chronicle already had connection with Sonic before.
S: Or at least to me personally.

N: So, this collaboration is to liven up the upcoming Sonic the Movie.
S: It's until April 7th, right?
N: Yes. From today, March 27th to April 7th. Please try it out!

ぷよぷよクエスト - Puyo Puyo Quest

N: The next topic is this one. Just by logging in to Puyo Puyo Quest, you will obtain the limited character '6-star Sonic ver. the Movie'! The collaboration starts tomorrow on March 28 and ends on May 31st. A fairly long period of time. Additionally, from April 14th, revival of Sonic collaboration event will take place too.
S: The one they already had once, right?
N: Exactly. It's the same event they held before. Please try this one out too.
H: The 6-star card has the 2D version of the Movie Sonic's key art as motif. With this pose. *Hoshino-san does the pose.*

N: Ah, with that pose. Well, he is quite fluffy here.
H: Yeah, just like Movie Sonic.
N: Right, it's ver. Movie. This event is available until the May 31st, so please try it out.
H: The Puyo Puyo Quest team is working right next to our team, so for supervision I only had to walk like 5 steps and talk with them. That's how it was developed.
S: The distance in which a soup won't become cold.
H: Nothing would become cold.
N: Nothing would change in that distance.
H: The development was like that.

N: Speaking of Puyo Puyo, Senoue-san, you're...
S: Working on the e-Sports one, yes.
N: Making the music for the e-Sports version. So [Puyo Puyo e-Sports] is also a recommendation to you all.
S: Please play it.

...And more games in collaboration with Sonic the Movie!

N: There are more collaborations taking place for Sonic the Movie. Please show us the next slide.
Aside from Puyo Puyo Quest, Saka Tsuku, and Chain Chronicle, there are collaborations taking place for Phantasy Star Online 2, Kotodaman, and Dartslive. Please play them while the event is taking place!

N: Additionally, to celebrate Sonic the Movie, some downloadable Sonic games are now on sale. Mario & Sonic AT Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Team Sonic Racing, Sonic Forces and Sonic Mania are available for reduced price until March 31th.
S: Until the end of this month, then.
N: Yes. While waiting for the movie to release, please play these games to experience Sonic's actions beforehand!

N: Also, the viewers might have already noticed what these two are wearing...
H: (stands up to show the design better) Like this?
Snoue-san also puts away his Sonic plush to show his T-shirt better.
N: Oh, thank you. Are these probably the T-shirts of the movie?
H: Yes.
S: There is something on the back too.
H: Around the neck.
Hoshino-san turns around.
N: It says "No problem! Leave it to me!" What does it mean?
H: Yeah, what does it mean?
S: Well, it means オレに任せとけ! .
N: Leave it to me, no problem at all.
H: It's Sonic's catchphrase.
N: I see. Including this T-shirt, there are many more merchandise to come, and we would like to show them to you from next month and onwards.
S: We'd like to show them all together.
N: Please look forward to them. We're praying that the movie can be released in theaters in Japan as soon as possible. Those were the news of Sonic the Movie.

Sonic Tonic?! Sonic as promo character for Success Medical Hair Growth Tonic - Collaboration with Kao

N: The next news is this one!
S: Yes yes yes!
N: Sonic was chosen as the web CM promotional character of Kao's Success!
S: Amazing!
H: And the artwork is cute!
N: Yes. This is the so-called Classic Sonic.
H: Exactly.
N: It says "Tonic the Hedgerisk".
H: *laughs*
N: I'll explain what this is about. We received a video from Kao exclusively for this broadcast, so let's watch it first. It's a short one, 15 seconds long.
H: The first reveal!
S: Don't miss it!

CM:
"Tonic the Hedgerisk!
Your hair gets thinner already from the 20s. Your hairstyle might not hold well.
So use hair tonic! Grow your hair thick and strong!
Medical hair tonic Success!"

N: So, that was the 15 seconds ad. Let me introduce you the Success, for which Sonic was chosen as promotional character. What Hoshino-san is holding is the actual product.
S: Are you going to show us how to use it?
H: Hair growth action! (sprays the tonic on his hair)
N: It's making such loud spraying sounds!
H: It says you should immediately massage your head to let it sit in the hair. This feels good.

N: So that is how it's like. This product is Success medical hair tonic, released by Kao. Under the motto 'science of men's standby', Success is a brand for supporting men to keep daily hygine and gain confidence for tomorrow. This Success medical hair growth tonic contains the company's original effective substance t-flavanone (1-trans-3,4'-dimethyl-3-hydroxyflavanone), which works on the hair root as showed in the video where Sonic was spinning.
H: *makes spinning sound*
N: And so makes the hair thicker, longer and stronger. The substance reaches the root with the strong cool micro-soda jet spray, and helps for better blood circulation which ensures nutrients to the root and prevents hair loss.
H: That's great.
N: The ad is styled in blue and cool, just like Sonic.
S: It was perfect for Sonic.
N: That's why they asked us for collaboration, I suppose.
S: Or could it be... because it was Hoshino-san?
N: Oh, what do you mean?
S: Well, the combination of Sonic and Tonic is... very familiar to me.
H: I guess we've heard of it somewhere...
S: Hey hey, you haven't just heard it, you were the one who said it!
H: Haha. It's that one.
S: That one.
H: About 20 and more years ago...
S: Already that long?
H: I guess you're talking about the video for Sonic Adventure's development announcement event?
S: Ta-daa! *brings out the VHS* This one, right?

N: Today, we have the special footage!
H: Oh! We can watch it?
N: We took out a short segment, but let's watch it!

Hoshino-san in video: "If you put this on like this... Sonic Tonic!"

H: *laughing*
S: This was in 1998, so... 21 years ago?
N: 21 or 22.
H: A treasure footage.
N: That means, you've been foreseeing this ad's coming about 20 years ago.
S: I mean, he is the one who said 'Sonic Tonic' back then.
N: Right, and he also did the spraying pose just now.
S: With the exact same smile.
N: What a surprise.
H: Turns out I've done it already about 20 years ago.
N: I almost thought you took that footage just now.
H: Hahaha.
S: Like always, SEGA is 10 years ahead of time.
N: Even 22 years. It's funny that they made this ad after 22 years.

N: By the way, what was that VHS you were holding, Senoue-san?
S: This is the video tape including the recording of the Sonic Adventure development announcement event and the video we showed on stage back then.
H: This is such a rare item.
N: What does it say on it?
H: 'Sonic Adventure development announcement event - 1998.08.22'.
S: This was a part of gifts for the members of partners.
N: I see, so one of the novelties.
S: This one is still packaged.
N: Wow.
H: Do young people nowadays know what VHS is?
S: I'm sure they do. I guess.

N: I've watched the recording of the event on the internet once. It showed the Sonic Team members traveled overseas for the development.
H: Yes, we did. We went to South America.
N: Various ruins, Machu Picchu, Nazca Lines...
S: And those were incorporated into the game's artworks.
H: Yes. We took the textures of Maya Ruins as photos and used them in-game.
S: It was such a big event dedicated for just one game's development.
N: After everything was announced in the video, I heard heavy rock sounds and thought 'what's happening?!', then saw Senoue-san playing guitar energetically.
S: Ah, me in 22 yearrs ago.
N: It was really cool. ...and now we come back to Success's tonic.
S: What were we talking about again? *laughs*
H: The connection is Sonic and Tonic.
N: The web CM will run from April.
S: The animation we just saw was so fast, we'd like to watch it again.
H: Let's do it. It's exclusive after all.
N: Alright, let's watch it again.
PV runs
H: I like the excited talking voice.
All three: (imitating the voice) "Kami-Katsu!" *laugh*
N: I feel embarassed after saying that.
S: That's something you shouldn't be embarassed about.
N: Right, I should be more confident.
H: Let's do our best.
N: So that was the news about Sonic as web CM character for Kao's Success medical hair growth tonic.

SEGA 60th anniversary project launches

N: Next news is this one: the launch of SEGA 60th anniversary project. On June 3rd 2020, SEGA will have its 60th anniversary. To celebrate this, various contents will be presented to you. For example, on the special website, the first video featuring SEGA 60th anniversary ambassador, Sega Shirou performed by Maito Fujioka-san, was released and became popular already. This project will liven up the 60th anniversary of SEGA for the whole year with you.
S: Sega Shirou...?
H: We know something similar...
S: The way it sounds is familiar.
H: There was that one person.
S: Well, we know him very well. Actually, he did the Sonic call.
N: You mean at the Sonic Adventure development announcement event we just talked about?
S: Exactly.
N: It was a character who handed over the generation from SEGA Saturn to Dreamcast, played by Hiroshi Fujioka-san.
H: Yes, him. Or rather, Segata Sanshirou.
N: Segata Sanshirou-san came to the event stage [to record the call]. And now, his son, Maito Fujioka-san is the character called Sega Shirou to spread SEGA to more people as ambassador.
H: Interesting.
N: Shall we watch Sega Shirou's first video 'Appearance' together?
S: Let't do it.
Video runs

S: He's got so much energy.
N: Sega Shirou, Sega Shirou~~~ (sings)
H: You're totally into it.
S: How many times have you been singing that today?
N: I guess about 12 times?
S: You really love it, don't you.

H: And his eyebrows are very sharp.
N: I can feel the similar aura to Hiroshi Fujioka-san.
H: So fresh. And the wind was blowing.
N: This is the debut of Maito Fujioka-san as an actor.
H: Ooh.
N: He is very self-confident. Sega Shirou~ (sings again)
H: You absolutely love it!
N: It really caught me. *laughs*

N: On SEGA 60th annivesary website, they released Sega Shirou's SEGA notes, with which he gets to know SEGA's history. This is one about Sonic.

"The birth of Sonic: The north-American version of 'Mega Drive', the 'Genesis' made a huge hit thanks to that Sonic! The speed unheard of games of that time is what made it unique."
"Sonic seen from above" "Sonic is fast!"

N: That's what is says on the memo, written by a highschooler.
H: A vey highschooler-like note.
N: With some drawings. 'Sonic seen from above'...
S: So like this, right? The drawing doesn't have his nose though.
N: Ah, you're right. He didn't study him enough.
H: Haha.
S: I'd like him to add the nose.

H: To us game developers, it's the angle we're used to see.
S: We see him from various angles.
H: So I think it's good enough that he did it as his personal research.
N: He might have went back to play Mega Drive again for this.
H: And gave his best to draw him.
N: I mean, you absoutely can't see Sonic from seen from above like this in Mega Drive. Well, probably not absolutely...
H: Well, you could say there are parts where you can view him like that.
S: From above, hmm...
N: Maybe in Special Stages?
S: In Sonic CD, you can see him going up like this.
H: You can see him from this angle.

*Hoshino-san pantomimes Sonic's movement through pipes with his hand.*

N: So, this is an example of how SEGA's history is listed on the special 60th anniversary website. Additionally, from April 21st, we will gather celebration comments of you fans to SEGA's anniversary on the website. From those who posted comments, 60 people will be chosen to get the special limited edition: SEGA 60th anniversary memorial chalkbag.

S: Chalkbag, I see. It looks really cool, doesn't it?
N: Yes it does. It immediately draws attention.
H: Yes. This is not just single-colored with brown, but it has SEGA blue as one-point design in the middle.
S: The strings too, right?
H: Oh yes, the stitches too.
S: Right, you don't call it strings but stitches.
N: As you say, the blue in camel color makes me think 'oh!'.
H: Yes, it stands out well.
N: Above the 60th logo, there is Sonic running from left to right.
H: Yes. We studied the material from scratch and asked [the maker] to engrave them.
S: So it's Sonic running from the past into the future.
N: Eaxctly.
Hoshino-san poses like running Sonic.

N: For the anniversary, the logo has combined design of 60 and GO with the message GO SEGA, meaning going forward from past to the future.

S: So hey, I want that bag, what should I do?
N: Oh, as a Sonic fan?
S: Yes, as a goods collecter I can't miss it.
H: You want to have it.
S: I do.
N: Hmm, who should I ask about it...
S: No no, but how do people join the raffle? Sending messages or something...?
H: Celebration message for the anniversary.
N: Oh yes. It's been 60 years, so there must be lots of memories about SEGA.  For example, Senoue-san have been playing Sonic before joining SEGA. You must have memories both as a user and as a creator.
S: Ah I see. Can I send as many messages as I'd like to?
H: Oh, just keep it as one.
S: Alright, just one message.
N: If you sign your message as Jun Senoue, I think the person choosing the winners would notice it and won't pick it.
S: They'd put it aside.
N: You should probably write your name as 瀬下 Seshita. (*shita = down, which is opposite of ue = up as in Senoue-san's name 瀬上.)
H: The prize wouldn't reach the owner though.
S: It won't be delivered to me then. *laughs* But anyway, this product looks very well made and could be used as a special item lifelong.
N: It's made of leather, so it would have more and more taste as one uses it.
H: Yeah.
N: So, including this prize, you may want to check out the special anniversary website of SEGA 60th. The SEGA 60th anniverasry project will go on for a year, from April this year to March 31st of 2021, bringing you various contents. Sonic will take parts to it as well, so please look forward to it.

N: The next news is this one. The Smartphone game: Sonic AT Tokyo 2020 Olympics coming on May 7th reached 750k with its pre-registration!
H&S: Yay! *claps*
N: With each pre-registration marks, players will get special presents in-game. If the next goal of 1 million pre-registration is reached, "Reach for the Stars" from Sonic Colors will be available as BGM.

GOODS REVIEW

N: Next section is this one.
S: Ta-daa!
H: Goods review!
N: In this section, we will introduce various Sonic goods - from latest merchandise to rare items! The first item we show you today is this one.

Easy-to-use Sonic stickers for LINE (ソニック 使いやすいスタンプ) is available from today!

N: New Sonic sticker set for the free communication app LINE was released today, March 27th!
S: (imitating Eggman's sticker) "I've got a good story for you..."

N: It costs 120 yen or 50 coins on LINE store.
H: You can buy from the QR codes shown.
N: Are there people among you who already bought them? Oh! There are many comments saying they have!
H:  Wow, some of you are really fast!
S: They say '[the stickers] are so cute!'
N: We released this inormation around noon today.
H: Right. This time, we designed the stickers so that they are easy to use in daily life.
S: Just as the title says.
H: Yes, very simple. These stickers will support your daily life communication in an adorable and laid-back manner!
S: Alright!
N: Shall we take a look at the whole set?
H: Let's do that.

H: There are 40 stickers in total.
N: Are there any stickers that draw your attention?
S: "Toutoi" (precious).
H: It's a one of the trending words.
N: The one with two Chao at the bottom.
S: Also, the one on the right top - "Hm?" "Hmm?" "Hm."...
H: Oh, the Chao ones.
N: The ones that are like a 4-panel comic.
S: Ah, they're 4-panels.
N: Hoshino-san, what was your intention behind these?
H: Yes, so when you want to prompt the other party to reply to the message, you start with the one with Normal Chao with a question mark. If they don't answer you, you type the next one. Then the next one. And at last, you use this final one.
S: "Stare".
H: Exactly. *laugh*
N: I see.
H: So these are the prompting stickers.
N: You send them to those who have read your messages but ignore you.
H: Yes.
N: Prompt them in a cute and easy-to-use way.
H: Also, you could send them with some time space.
S: Put some pressure on them.
N: After 10 minutes, or after an hour...
*All laugh*
S: Tails does use the phrase 'あちゃー (oh no...)'.
N: Ah, the one on the bottom right. And... what is the situation with the one next to it, Eggman being scared and carried away by Sonic?
S: He looks very light.
N: Yeah, Sonic has no problem carrying him.
H: Hahaha.
N: Also, the one in the middle right - Sonic saying 'へーえ (Uh-huh.)'...
H: *laughs*
S: He is like just pretending to be listening.
H: What made you curious about it?
N: Well, I think it has an extremely high potential to be used to agitate others.
H: *laughs* I see. You can see it like that too.
N: When somebody says 'I achieved this!', then you type 'Uh-huh'.
H: You're very twisted.
N: That's not what I mean, but yeah. You can use one type of sticker for various situations. It's easy to use.
S: Can people make requests for more stickers?
H: Hm.
N: If this sticker set sells well, we may think about it.
S: It's good that they are easy to use, but...
H: You want stickers that are even more easy to use?
S: No no, but I want you to add Shadow in the easy-to-use stickers.
H: Aha. Requests for characters. I see, we'll think about that.
N: A second set of easy-to-use stickers would not be bad at all.
H: Right.
S: Please add Shadow if it comes out.
N: Do you want an 'easy-to-use' ver. 2, viewers?
N: (reading comments) 'He is picking not the nose but his ear'... Ah, the one on the right.
H: Haha. *imitatets Sonic*
N: Yes, Sonic is picking his ear, not his nose.

N: Everyone is commenting their favorite characters.
S: See?
H: I hope we can add your favorite characters in the second set.
N: Right, Knuckles isn't in the first set, either.
H: Right.
N: Please recommend this to your friends.
H: If this one sells well, we'll need to think about it.
N: So, the Easy-to-use Sonic stickers for LINE is available from today, March 27th on LINE app or LINE store for 50 coins or 120 yen including tax. You can also search ソニック on LINE.
S: In Katakana.
N: Yes. ソニック 使いやすいスタンプ , or just ソニック 使いやすい . Please use them!

Ohtani-san: "I'm a man in 40s but can I still use them? (already bought them)" XD

WAYLLY x SONIC exchangeable & stickable smartphone covers

N: Next merchandise is this one. The wall-sticking smartphone cover WAYLLY is collaborating with Sonic, annd there are 6 versions available now. These are the actual objects. What I'm holding are the white and blue designs. Hoshino-san has red and yellow. Senoue-san has black and a white one with simple design. 6 designs in total.
H: Yes.
N: So, I think it's easy to imagine how to swap designs, but what does it mean that they're 'wall-sticking'?
S: Here comes the wall.
H: So, you're looking at your phone, then realize that you need to wash your face.
S: Wash your face?!
H: Then you take this [cover] off.
N: Ah, it's a mirror.
H: Yes. This part becomes the mirror, and you can stick the main body...
S: The phone?
H: ...to a wall like this. *sticks coer on the wall*
S: Ouch! That hurt just now. (he bumped his nose against the wall he's holding.)
H: Oh. That was an accident.
*everyone laughs*

H: And then like this... (pretends to wash his face and hands...)
S: Oh, and now is the time to use your tonic.
H: (pretends to use the tonic.)
S: Ah the tonic is coming.
H: (pretends to use the tonic.) You spray the tonic, and when you're done, you take the cover and put them together again.

N: And if you feel like trying out other designs, you swap the back cover.
H: Exactly. So that's how it works.
S: I like this yellow one too, it's pop.
N: Senoue-san, which one would you choose to have?
S: I would pick this white one (with logo) for daily use.
H: Pretty austere.
S: Well, the logo is big and cool.
H: Yeah.
N: A simple design with black on white background.
H: Nice. It would go well with anything.
S: Then, this one for some occasions.
N: Sometimes yellow.
H: Swap the design according to your mood.
S: Yes.
N: You can change the cover as you like with this collaboration. And this isn't magnet; it's actually WAYLLY's technology, with which the cover sticks on any flat surface. So it won't interfere with the machine.
S: I see!
N: You can buy these WAYLLY X Sonic collaboration smartphone cases for 2,700 yen (+ tax) at various shops, for example Yodobashi Camera, Don Quijote, or Village Vanguard. Check out WAYLLY's official website for more details.

USA's Sonic comics series 'Sonic the Hedgehog 1/Fallout' is coming to Japan!

N: Next merchandise is this one. From Wise Publishing, USA's Sonic comics series 'Sonic the Hedgehog/Fallout' will be available from May 8th!
*everyone claps*
N: Let me read out the synopsis of the comic. "Sonic the Hedgehog 1/Fallout is set after the time of the severe battle between Eggman Army and the Resistance in the game 'Sonic Forces'. Sonic and co. saved the world which was 99% occupied by Dr. Eggman. However, in the world which seemed to regained its peace, the remainings of Dr. Eggman's robots were about to gather their power once again... Who is behind this scene? In order to bring back peaceful days, Sonic and his friends stand up once more." That's the story.
H: Yes.
N: And what Hoshino-san is holding for us is...
H: This is the Japanese version of the cover for the comic's first issue.
S: Wow!

N: And how about the contents?
H: Inside is...
S: Not done yet?
N: Oh, it's still the English version.
H: We put the cover on the English version. But the back side - you might no be able to see well, but it is also on Japanese. The spine also says the title in Japanese: "Sonic the Hedgehog 1/Fallout" in Katakana.
N: The cover illustration was drawn by him, right?
H: Yes. Comic artist, originally a Sonic fan, Tyson Hesse.
S: Being from a fan base!
N: Tyson-san.
H: Tyson is also the one who contributed to the Sonic the Movie for making a perfect redesign.
S: He also made the opening animation of Sonic Mania, right?
H: Yes, he is also an animation director, now workng officially for Sonic series.
S: Team Sonic Racing's short animation is also by him. And Chao in Space...
N: The Overdrive.
H: Exactly. Tyson, he is very good at Japanese.
N: I heard that this comic series is very popular in North America.
H: Yes. It's very popular in NA, and I think it has already about 25 issues. Usually, the sales of a comic series drops with increasing issue number, but this series is a rare one that is still very popular.
S: Amazing!
N: And such series is now finally coming to Japan.
H: Yes. This first issue includes issue 1-4 in the North American version. A good buy.
N: Are we allowed to have a sneak peek of the contents?

H: As you can see, each story is drawn by different comic artist.
S: It's cool that all pages are fully colored.
H: Very gorgeous.
S: And these will all be localized to Japanese?
H: Yes. From the beginning of the NA version, our team has been supervising the art styles and scenarios very closely. And the same team is supervising the Japanese version as well, so the quality sould be at its best.
S: And such good is coming on May 8th?
N: Yes, releasing on the 8th. Don't miss it! Also, the second and third issues are already in publication process too, so please look forward to them too. Sonic comics series 'Sonic the Hedgehog 1/Fallout' will be available for 2,300 yen plus tax from May 8th from Wise Publishing!

N: That was it for Goods Review. Let's move on to the next section.

SOUNDS SECTION (placeholder name)

S: Sounds Section (placeholder name)!
H: Placeholder name!
S: Placeholder name.
N: It's still placeholder name.
S: Yep, still placeholder name.
N: In this section, our Sonic series Sound Director Senoue-san will introduce you Sonic's new music merchandise and information about Sonic sounds. Senoue-san, what kind of news do you have for this month?
S: What did we introduce last time? The new compilation album Non-Stop Music Selection, matching to the first broadcast and showcased it to you.
H: Yes.
S: Then let me introduce this to you today.

Sonic the Hedgehog Throwback Collection vol.1

S: So, I prepared something to be released on the broadcast date again. "Sonic the Hedgehog Throwback Collection vol.1", an album with 4 pieces.
H: Ohh.
S: This album is consisting of arrangements of past Sonic music. In Sonic Mania, another person originally from Sonic fanbase, Tee...
H: Tee.
N: Tee-san.
S: Tee Lopes and I arranged music together, and those are included in this album. Originally, there was a project to showcase music on Sonic's social media such as Twitter and YouTube. For example, Station Square.
H: Oh, exactly for this livestream.
N: That opening music!
S: Yes, that version. Or, for my composition, medley of Sonic 4 music. Or arrangement of Game Gear's Sonic 2's first stage music, a rather maniac one. Such songs are in this album. Until now, these songs were available on YouTube, but from today, you can also listen to them on music streaming sites such as Spotify, iTunes, Amazon etc. for you to enjoy as one  musical package.
N: They are now available at many music streaming sites as shown on screen, such as Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon Music, AWA, RecoChoku and so on. You can also refer to Sonic Committe's tweet posted today.
S: Oh, that's nice.
N: Then you can choose your standard streaming services. By the way, this cover art was drawn by you Hoshino-san, right?
H: Yes, I got the idea from the phrase Jun presented me, a 'throwback'. Throwback means looking back at memories, and music are mostly connected to memories. The way textures are layered on in this cover art represents the depth of the memory.
S: I see.
H: At the same time, I expressed the lightness and coolness of the music with the color.
N: With blue.
H: Yes, that's how I made it.
S: Nanmoku-san, do you know what throwback is?
N: Throwback... what does it exactly mean?
S: Well, I don't know where it originally came from - Instragram, Twitter or Facebook? I'm not sure, but on there is a trend on SNS that's called ThrowbackThursday, for which people post their old photos or posts to look back on old days on Thursdays.
N: Ooh.
S: So, that's why we posted the music videos of this album only on Thursdays.
H: I see!
N: Ahh.
S: So this is why it's called the throwback series. Now that we named it vol. 1, so we may need to make vol. 2 too...
H: You gotta make vol. 2 too!
N: I already feel the next one coming.
H: Please!
N: The one you introduced us last time was also vol.1, too, right?
S: Wow, you have good memory.
N: I do remember it.
S: Well, I thought that if I'm making a new album, it's clearer to start a new series and number them.
N: Then we'll see more new series in the future?
S: ...I'll do my best.
H: Not just vol.1 but 2.

N: So, this Throwback Collection Vol.1 is available from today! Please use the QR code shown on screen or check the tweet by Sonic Commitee to check your standard music streaming sites.

N: By the way Senoue-san, do you have any plan to reveal something next month too?
S: ...Please look forward to the livestream of next month. It's still too early.
N: Well then everyone, please don't miss our next livestream! That was it for the Sounds Section (placeholder name)!
S: Placeholder name~.

LET'S PLAY GAMES!

N: So, now comes the long-awaited part.
S: Long-awaited? *laugh*
N: Next section is this one!
H: Let's Play Games!

S: What a challenging project.
N: It's finally happening. So in this section, the MCs of this broadcast, Hoshino-san and Senoue-san themselvesare going to play Sonic games to showcase the charms of the series.
H&S: The charms.
N: Let's see how this works. Today, the two are going to play this game!

N: Mario & Sonic AT Tokyo 2020 Olympic, Nintendo Switch version!
*everybody claps*
S: It's now on sale!
N: Did you alreday buy it? Alright then, is the game screen ready?
H: Let's do it!
N: Then let me explain the rules for today - oh, the screen is now behind us! So, the battle rules are as follows: you will be playing three games in total. The person who wins two games first is the winner.
S: You mean it, right?
N: Yes.
H: Two out of three matches.
N: Yes, very simple, right?
H: Yeah.
N: For the winner, there is a prize - famous for its vivid blue color, the Sonic Curry!

N: This package looks like that of Mega Drive, but it is retort curry!
S: It says 'Sonic the Hedgehog Curry'.
H: Also 'can be heated with microwave'.
N: Like this. ...Oh, the green part becomes transparent because of the green back, so let's put this aside for now. Have you eaten this curry before? Hoshino-san, you have, right?
H: Yes, I've had it once in the livestream of the American team. I forgot how it tastes though.
N: You can eat it if you win this match.
H: Thank you!
S: I'm hungry.
N: Then please win the battle and make it your dinner!
H: Alright!
N: I'll introduce you to the sports to be played today. First one is Triple Jump.
H&S: Yaay! (hand wave, while the three are displayed smaller in the corner)
S: Oh, I missed it.
N: Should we ask to make us bigger again?
(the three are displayed large again)
All: Yaay. (does it again)

N: ...Okay, let me introduce the sports to play once again. First, Triple Jump. Second, Archery in group match. And at last, 100m Sprint.
S: How can I interefere with the person next to me?
N: Getting in way of other player is against sportsmanship... Disturbance at a psychological level either. Please play fair and square with all you can give.
H: OK!
S: Haha. I wanna eat the curry.
N: For the curry.
H&S: *chant* Curry, curry!
N: Have you two played this game before?
H: I'm not in the development team of Mario & Sonic, so not very much.
N: I hope you practiced for this day.
H: I haven't at all.
N: Oh?
H: So today, I'd like to compete just with my natural talent.
N: Your natural talent!
H: Haha.

S: Not saying that I'll take the stand, but...
N: Oh!
H: But I haven't played this intensively either, so...
N: Just with your natural talent. That's a phrase I'd like to use once in my lifetime.
H: Hahaha.
N: Well then, shall we start?
H: Alright! I'll do my best.
N: Then please choose the Triple Jump.
S: Do it on your controller please.
H: Got it. Push.
N: Today, you two are playing with the Pro Controller.
H: Push.

N: Now, there are many characters to choose from. Each character has different ability written below their names. For example, Sonic is fast at sprinting, and Amy is an all-rounder. You may want to choose it by looking at your opponent's ability too.
H: How many types are there? Four?
N: I guess four. Triple Jump is a sport in which  you will first sprint, then hop, step, and jump for the longest distance.
H: I see. So it's not just sprinting.
S: And there is an all-rounder?
N: Yes, those characters have avarage ability. And the type with 'easy to get perfects' means it's easy to time the button push for hop, step and jump.
H: I see.
N: There are several types, and you can think about extending your strength or covering your weakness.
S: No, I will go with my favorite characters.
H: Haha!
N: That's an important point too.
S: Miles! Even though it says Tails, I'll call him Miles.
H: Amy!
N: Good, so Hoshino-san is Amy and Senoue-san is Tails. This match will take place simultaneously in split-screen, so please prepare for it. Top screen is Hoshino-san's Amy, bottom screen is Senoue-san's Tails. Now, let's start sprinting with A button presses! Then X, X, Y for hop, step, jump!
S: Oh, I screwed it up!
H: Something is off?
S: I think I definitely - oh no, one foot is completely over the line!
H&N: Ooohh!
N: Hoshino-san's Amy scored 15.834 m! That's a fine record.
H: Oh, is it?
N: Unfortunately, Tails got a foul.
S: The leg...
H: He looks like the LINE sticker.
N: Oh, the one with dotted eyes. Well, this game has another round and the better score will be picked, so let's move on.

N: Since Tails had a foul, Senoue-san is at the lowest rank. Please do your best, Senoue-san!
Hoshino-san claps together with the character.
N: Hoshino-san, I think it's better to hold the controller now.
H: Hahaha.
S: You don't have that much time.

N: Please keep pressing A button until the aura becomes yellow. Then hop, step and jupm...
H: Oh! It shined, it shined! What's this?!
N: A Special Jump! Amy did well, and how about Tails?
S: It was fine, but I couldn't step on that...
N: How's the result... ah!
H: Yay!
S: What, why?! I thought I jumped at the perfect timing!

N: And Amy got an amazing record. 19.398 m!
H: Is it? It is, right?
S: I really thought it was a great timining to jump.
N: Because Senoue-san aimed for the last moment to jump...
S: The edge of the line.
H: He wanted the god-like jump off.
N: I guess this happens in real sports a s well. The difficult balance between going for the edge and being on the safe side.
S: Is that so... I should have had at least one record.
N: Right, that's a pity.
H: As a tactic, right.
N: Then let's look at the results.
S: I don't have any.
N: Amy is on first place with 19.398 m, and Tails has... no record!
S: No record!
N: Well then, let's move on to the commendation stage, shall we?
H: Yes.

N: And so... Hoshino-san's Amy is on first place!
Hoshino-san waves like Amy does.
H: Great.
N: So that means... Hoshino-san wins!
*H&N clap. S clap a little later.*
N: Senoue-san's face says he wants to play again!
H: Hahaha.
S: No no no. Let's go to the next one.
N: Well, they say that luck is also a part of the battle.

S: What's the next one?
N: Next sports is archery in groups.
H: Archery... this one. Push. In a group?
N: Yes. Button play and 1P vs. 2P.
H: Alright.
N: There are comments coming in, such as "Senoue-san, cheer up!" and "Congratulations, Hoshino-san!".
S: Hahaha.
H: Thanks! We'll do our best.
N: Now, since this is a group match, please select two characters unlike the match before.
H: One more player.
N: Yes. And of course, each character has different ability, so take that in account as well.
H: Right, you can also change the character.
N: Yes you can.
H: *looking at Eggman and Tails* They're good at aiming?
S: Well, I'd still go with my favorite characters.
N: Ah, Senoue-san challenges with his love.
H: *looking at Sonic and Shadow* Bow-pulling?
N: Senoue-san chose Tails and Shadow. Hoshino-san, who do you choose other than Sonic?
H: Sonic and... who should I pick? Amy!
N: Amy, an all-rouder. Like before. Then let's start with these two characters. So in group match of archery, each member of the team will have three rounds with three different distances one after the other. Then let's start! First comes the time for practice. L button to set the arrow, R button to pull the bow, then release R button to shoot.
H: The wind is blowing.
N: Wow, you're quick, Senoue-san. Sonic in top screen is Hoshino-san, and Tails in bottom screen is Senoue-san.
H: Nooo, I missed it!
N: It's windy even though it's practice time, so it's not as easy as one thinks.
H: Wind, stop blowing! Oh oh, wasn't this one good?
S: Yes, it was.
N: It's still practice so it won't count even if you get a good score.
H: What?
N: And now the actual match is starting!
H: Oh now it's starting already!
N: Yes.

H: Now there is no wind?
S: No wind.
H: Oh!
N: Oh, 10 points! Both of you.
S: Both of us.
H: You're good, aren't you?
N: Now it's blowing wind of 1m/h. Oh, 10 points! Senoue-san too!
H: You're really good.
N: It just said 2 combos - that means the next shoots with these characters will gain twice the points. So aim for good scores!
H: Consecutive shoots brings better scores then.
N: Yes. Now let's continue on with the other characters. Amy in top scren is Hoshino-san, Shadow in bottom screen is Senoue-san.
H: Alright.
S: Ah, it's the practice round again.
H: The wind is at 3m/h. Is that strong? Ahh, I missed. The wind is blowing in the other direction - and it has pretty strong influence.
N: Yes, even more when the target is further away. Also, the arrow will point downwards with gravity, so...
H: This is no good. Ah, practice is over. This is starting already, right?
N: Yes. Oh, 3 combos. Amy is good. And Shadow gets another 10 points as well.

H: This is so difficult. Ho! Ah, that was okay.
S: Sorry, I'm not talking at all.
H: Haha.
N: You're so concentrated as if you're playing to check for bugs. And I'm here talking all the time explaining things. Alright, now it's finished. Amy has 24.088 points, and Shadow has 23.571 points. A very close match!
H: It is.
N: Let's move on to the next distance with Sonic vs Tails.
H: Right, there are three, right?
N: Yes. Next round is 40 m.
S: The double distance?
N: The influence of the wind becomes much stronger.

H: Wow, something is happening!
N: That's the special shot for getting high score! Aim for the eye as much as you can.
H: I don't wanna miss this one.
S: Or you could.
H: Haha. *shoots* How about that!
N: Oh look at that! That's a great score.
S: And I missed the bull's eye.
N: Unfortunately Senoue-san marked 8 points.
H: Ah! Missed that.
S: I see, the arrow gets carried away a lot.
N: Yes, from about 40 m the wind affects strongly.
S: I aimed pretty much the middle point.
N: So you should aim at a point in the opposite direction to where the wind is blowing.
H: Go Amy!
S: Can I rewind that?
H: Rewind?
N: There is no rewind function, unfortunately.
H: It's shining again!

N: Both Amy and Shadow have special shot chance.
H: No, I screwed it up!
S: Oh!
N: Wow! Senoue-san's points got doubled.
H: Go for it, Amy~.
N: By the way, I wasn't hiding it, but I was in an Kyudo (Japanese archery) club when I was in middle school.
S: Ooh!
H: Whaaat?!
N: I also used to compete in prefectural tournaments.
S: That's cool.
H: That means you were very strong.
N: However, there were only six schools in Kanagawa prefecture which had Kyudo club, so I was immediately chosen as the tournament member, and there I got second place.
H: Second place!
N: Yes. So if you allow me to give an advice, archery is... a struggle against oneself.
H&S: Hahaha.
H: Thank you for the advice.
N: One needs to beat own weak heart and -
S: Can we move on now?
N: Yes, please.
*all laugh*
H: Struggle against oneself...
N: Let's move on. Last round is 60 m distance. It's pretty far away.
H&S: Struggle against oneself... *still laughing*
S: I thought it was a struggle against the person next to me.
H: That's really far away.
N: No it's really a struggle against oneself.
H: 3m/h wind from left... How about this? Good!
N: Wow, that's great! More than 9.5 points.
S: (looking at own score) That's bad.
N: In this distance, the wind strongly affects the shots.
H: Something like this? Oh, the arrow really gets carried away.
N: Right, you could almost aim outside the target.
S&H&N: Oh!
N: Senoue-san got 10 points.
S: Why can't you count this one as my actual score.
H: You're good. Right, this was a practice...
N: ...No, it was the actual match!
S: Oh! I'm relieved.
H: It was? That's great.
S: But then I did so badly with the first shot.
N: And now, 60m with second characters. Amy in top screen is Hoshino-san, Shadow in bottom screen is Hoshino-san.
H: Ahh, the height...
S: Oh!
N: Oh, that's amazing! 10.250 points. Senoue-san's Shadow got a high score. How about Hoshino-san's Amy?
H: Ahh... I guess that's an okay score?
N: But still, you got 9 points. And it seems like a very close match, doesn't it? Let's look at the final results.
S: The last one was bad...

N: The winner team is... Sonic and Amy with 148.637 points, so Hoshino-san!
H: Oh, that's it?
S: So you'll get the curry...
H: Curry, curry!
N: So that means, Hoshino-san won the 1st and 2nd matches, so...
S: Curry [for him].
H: Curry [for me].
N: ...so you would think, right?
H&S: Hm?

S: Well, you said you mean it back then.
N: I did. However, since it's a game battle, I thought it would be more exciting with an unexpected turns to the situation.
S: Unexpected turns!
N: The last sports is 100m sprint. And the winner of this match will get... 329 points!
H: *giggles*
S: ...Sanic points! [With Japanese number counting, each digit can be read as 3 = sa, 2 = ni, 9 = ku]
N: Look, it's shown on screen too!

S: Oooh true.
H: What's this?!
N: The technician for this livestream kindly made this today.
H: They did! 329 points... But then the first two matches were meaningless?
S: I'd like them to add a 's' after 'point'. [caption says '329 point' without the plural form]
[And as they talk, the technician added the 's' to the caption immediately! ...Without the MCs noticing it.]

H: How about counting the special shots or special jumps from ealier matches?
S: Hahaha.
N: Well, Hoshino-san... thank you for making spectacle scenes!
S: Haha. Or you might win all three games at theh end.
N: That's possible too. So Senoue-san, please do your best in 100m!
S: I don't know if I can, I'm so hungry that I don't have energy anymore.
N: Really? But we will move on. My job is to make this broadcast going, so let's move on.
S: Alright.
N: So, Hoshino-san won in streak for the first two battles. Let's go to the final battle.
H: Choose the sports?
N: Yes. Oh by the way, the 100m sprint will be done in about 10 seconds, so let's practice first.

H: Alright, let's practice. Well, there is no other choice than Sonic here, right? *selects him immediately*
S: Then of course Shadow. *selects him split seconds after*
N: Ok, then with your now-standard characters. Hoshino-san with Sonic, Senoue-san with Shadow.
H: It's a speed battle then.
N: The 4th and 5th... The two lanes in the middle are your lanes. Then let's do a practice run.
H: Alright.
N: There are other fast characters such as Metal Sonic or Silver in the same group. Now, please build up the power with 'Ready!' and keep pressing A button after 'Start!".

H: Oh, good good!
N: Whoa, Sonic is really fast! And he's got his special dash too!
S: Oh no.
H: This is just a practice though.
N: But I think you got a really good time.
S: Oooh.
H: *laughs in joy*
S: *laughs too*
N: You're really good.
H: Even though this is just a practice, it somehow went so well.
N: Shall we do the real match? Or do you want another practice round?
S: No it's fine.
H: I'm also okay with this being the real match.
S: No, that's not allowed.
H: Hahaha. *waves too as Sonic waves on the commendation stage*

N: This can't be the actual match, because it lacks my exciting comments...
H: Oh I see.
N: Sonic is doing a cool dance there. Well, this was a good practice. And the next race is the final match, no matter you smile or cry afterwards.
H: Ok!
N: Then let's do the actual 100m sprint. Please press 'play again'!
H: Got it!
N: Alright. This 100m sprint is a very simple, yet deep sports. Which of you will win? Now it started!

H: Ahh, I screwed up the start!
N: Oh, Shadow is ahead! Hoshino-san chases after him, but - ah! Shadow's speed!
S: That last part was really good, wasn't it? *joyful*
N: Shadow wins with absolute speed!
H: But the time -
S: But actually, the time wasn't that fast.
N: Shall we look at the replay? The time was 11.182. But what's important is whether or not you own the race at that moment.

H: Hey, wait a minute. What does it mean?
S: Huh?
H: Curry.
S: Where it goes?
N: Shall we summarize then? First round was won by Hoshinio-san, with 1 point.
H: Yeah.
S: 1 point.
N: Second round with archery group match was also won by Hoshino-san. He gets 2 poitns.
H: Thank you!

N: Third match, 100m sprint was won by Senoue-san. With 329 points.
H: Hahahaha.
S: Yeah! ...That doesn't make sense at all. *laughs*

N: So winner is Senoue-san!
*everyone claps*
S: What does it mean? Can I be happy about it?

N: Oh look, it says 'WINNER JUN'!
S: Ooh!
H: Wow! That's cool.
N: I wonder if they had it prepared.
S: Dunno.
N: Is that okay?
S: I did it.
H: Curry.
N: So, the winner Senoue-san - we can already smell it - will get to eat the Sonic curry!
H: It smells good!
*clappings*
S: Ta-daa!

N: Shall we show it closer to the camera? It's like this. Then, le'ts have him eat it! This is your dinner then, that's nice.
S: That's true!
H: I'm jealous.
N: Then please have a scoop and tell us how it is!
H: It's like this. *shows a scoop to the camera*
N: He's kindly showing it to the camera, what a spirit of service.
S: Oh stop that.

*eats a scoop*
S: Hmm.
N: How is it? The smell is exactly that of curry.
S: Yeah it is.
N: How's the taste?
S: Despite its appearance, it's unexpectedly mild.
H: Mild!
N: So, it's just like normal curry.
S: Yep. I mean, its appearance is very impressive.
N: Yes.
S: And... the meat is blue. The cube is blue!
*everyone giggles*

N: When looking at it directly, it looks more like... light blueish? A milder color. But over the camera, it looks vivid blue.
S: Just as you say.
H: Oh true. It might depend on the screen.

H: Is it tasty?
S: Yes. *nods*
H: That's good. *smiles widely*
N: And that with your favorite character Shadow as backgroud... The taste of triumph.
H: That must taste special.
S: ...Water. I need water.
N: Oh. *to background staff* Please give him some water. Oh, no water?
S: Then it's fine. I'm good.
N: Well then. We tried the game battle for the first time in a broadcast.
S: 329 points!

N: Senoue-san won with 329 points. How was it? Did you enjoy it?
S: Well, the consecutive fouls in the first game... that was discouraging.
H: *giggels*
N: There were some exciting and unexpected turns.
H: In a way.
N: Well, the overall winner is the winner.
H: I think it ended in a funny way.
S: I see.
N: So everyone, the DL vrsion of Mario & Sonic AT Tokyo 2020 Olympics is on sale until next week, so if you still don't have it yet, please take this opportunity to play it.
H: And practice a lot to score good records.
S: It's a deep game.
N: The 100m was a really good battle.
H: A deep battle.
N: That wraps up the 'Let's play games!' section.

MESSAGE SECTION

N: The next section is this one.
H: Message Section!
S: Ta-daa!
N: In this section, we will introduce the messages we received from you. The theme of March was 'Challenge'. Thank you for sending in many messages!
S&H: Thank you very much!
N: We would like to read out as many messages as possible in the remaining time. The first message is this one.

Message from 'Hector'-san:
"Good evening! I was excitedly waiting for the Sonic Station LIVE!"
H&S&N: Good evening!
"I'm wearing Sonic T-shirt as I watch the broadcast!"
S: We do too!
"I'll support you as a Sonic fan! Please keep on the great work!! I love Sonic!"
H&S&N: Thank you very much!

N: We received supportive messages to our broadcast such as this one. Next message is this one.

Message from 'Knuttunk'-san (that's me!):
"Hoshino-san, Senoue-san, hello!”
H&S&N: Good evening!
"I really enjoyed the first broadcast of Sonic Station LIVE!. We get to watch a cool & challenging livestream every month! I'm very happy as a Sonic fan. I'll keep supporting you. By the way, for the name of the Sounds Section (placeholder name) - how about 'Senoue-san's Sound Stage', shortened as SSS?! *laugh*"
H: Oh! There it comes!
S: I guess I'm the one who has to answer this?
N: They've got an idea for us.
H: We asked the viewers for ideas for that placeholder.
S: Because the section name says 'placeholder name', I guess.

H: Yeah. SSS...
S: SSS, hmm... What do you guys think of when you hear that? I personally associate it more to Sonic's Special Stage.
N: Ah, that's also an SSS.
H: This one is.... well, for the Sounds Section, I'm thinking that I'm not necessarily the only one to introduce music, but other people might possibly join us for that as well.
N: Oh, so if we pick S for Senoue-san...
S: It might be inconvenient in the future.
N: It limits the possibilities.
S: So... Dismissed.
N: Dismissed?!
H: What?!

S: Hahaha. Let's keep the 'Sounds Section (placeholder name)' for a while now.
N: Well then, let's think of another idea again together.
S: We happened to not have a good one while we were planning, right?
N: That's right.
H: This project isn't as simple as one hopes to be.
N: Before we did the first broadcast, we had a hard time deciding on one name, and said, 'let's keep this one as a placeholder'. And that 'placeholder' part written in our script was picked up just as it is,
S: And we just went along with it.
N: Then, let's ask Knuttunk-san to think of another name and send a message to us again.
S: Yes please.
H: Please do so.
S: We'll be waiting!

N: Next message is this one.

Message from 'Gin'-san:
"Good evening!"
H: Good evening!
"I'm a huge Sonic fan and I was waiting in excitement [for the broadcast]."
S: Thank you!
"Here is my question to you two. Sonic hates water and can't swim well; are you two good at swimming?"

H: It's not that I'm great at it, but I'm not as bad as Sonic is at swimming.
S: Hahaha.

N: Not bad as Sonic.
S: Average?
H: Average.
N: It's like, you can swim.
S: Like, 'I can swim, and my standard style is breast'.
N: Breaststroke?
S: Breaststroke.
H: *imitates breaststroke*

N: Sonic does have a setting that he doesn't like water. This element has been there from the very beginning, right?
H: Yes, he's struggling with water since Sonic 1.
S: That stage makes one very tense. When you stay too long underwater, you'll need oxygen and... *imitates bubble with his hand*
H: *imitates underwater swimming*

N: With that [desparate] face...
S: There is that jingle that starts playing with the countdown, right? That *tu-ti tu-ti*-like sound is very stressful. It gets faster and faster.
H: Teke teke teke teke... *imitates the speeding up jingle sound*
N: One almost starts sweating just by hearing it.
S: Exactly. And that sound makes you make mistakes even more.
H: *imitates Sonic suffocating underwater*

S: There aren't many Sonic sounds which are used repeatedly throughout the series, but this is one of the few examples. It's got some history.
N: It appears in every series title.
S: Exactly.
H: That's true.
S: It was used in Medga Drive era, then later generations too.
N: Also, as seen in Mario & Sonic you played today, Sonic can't swim in the swimming sports. Only with a life vest.
H: Right. As long as there are swimming sports, he has to join the match.
S: There is no way to avoid them.
N: There is no way Sonic isn't attending them. He wears a life vest, swimming like a standing swim...
H: Yes, we were generously allowed to make him swim like that.
N: So, you two can swim.
H: Better than Sonic does.
S: Yes.
N: They can swim better than Sonic. Thank you for the message!
H: Thank you very much!

N: Next message is this one.

Message from 'Espio's belly is heart-shaped'-san:
H: (to the author's name) That's true.
"Good evening to Hoshino-san and Senoue-san in Station Square!"
H: Good evening!
S: We're at a different place today though.
H: Haha.
N: Today we're at the base.
"I'm sending message for the first time. To the theme: I'd like to challenge dancing."
H: Hm.
N: The theme of March was 'Challnge'.
"I'm practicing by watching videos of my favorite dancers. And I'm planning to attend dance school with my friend."
S: Ooh.
"Sonic always shows his cool breakdance in result screens, right?"
H: Yes.
"I would like to dance to Sonic music someday! By the way, Senoue-san, SAME was amazing!"
S: Yay!
"I'm looking forward to your cool and upbeat sounds!"

S: Thank you very much. SAME is the instrumental band I'm a member of. Sonic Adventure Music Experience, we call it shortened as SAME.
N: Then they probably came to one of the recent lives.
S: That's possible. The one in London maybe?
N: London?
S: Well that was probably too far away.
N: I wonder to which one they came. Maybe one held in Japan.
S: Yeah.
N: So, this person would like to try dancing. It's true that Sonic breakdances in result screen.
S: *makes his Sonic plush breakdance*

N: He was breakdancing on the commendation stage too [in Mario & Sonic].
H: Yes.
S: I personally like the result screen of Sonic Generations.
N: Dance and music have good synergy with Sonic. I think it's nice to give it all for what they love to do.
S: And it says they imitate their favorite dancers. I think that's very important. As I begun playing guitar, I also started by imitating my favorite guitarists. That's the fast way to learn. One can also continue practicing because one likes it. Isn't it the same with drawing?
H: Yes. Mimicing your favorite artist's style to get closer to their level could be one of the methods to keep your motivation up.
S: And you pick up essenses which you're found of. Then you could for example add your own color to it to modify it. I think that's the good way to go.
H: Yes.
N: That's the closest way. And once this person establishes their own style, as a result, they could become a dancer whom other people wish to imitate.
H: Ah!
S: That's nice.
N: Thank you for sending us a comment for this month's theme 'challenge'!

N: Next message is this one.

Message from 'Minamibeya'-san:
"I'm sending my fan arts to Sonic [Channel] and I'm thankful for that. I just wonder if the Sonic Team really look at them. Even if they do, I'm too nervous about it."
H: Ho.
N: We've been calling for messages and fan arts on Sonic Channel, the portal website for Sonic. Well, Hoshino-san, do you take a look at all of them?
H: Of course! I and other staffs look at every one of them. Each fan art and the comments that come with them. And the replying comments are also written by us.

N: So they do look at them, no worries.
H: I think Minamibeya-san is the person who loves Shadow and sends us fan arts of him a lot.
N: Oh, the name is familiar to you?
H: Yes. We'd love to see more fan arts from you.
N: If you feel like it, please send us another one!

N: Next message is this one.

S: Oh that's a long one!
Message from 'A student of Stardust Speedway Highschool'-san:
S: Wow, what a place to live.
N: You must be careful on the way to school.
S: The streets have steep slopes.
N: Then I'll read it out.
"Congratulations on the second broadcast! The way you two enjoy the talk makes me happy too. I have a question, or rather a counseling request for a problem of life. I will be in the third grade [of ?] from the next schoolyear, but I don't know which path I should take for the future yet."
N: Guessing by the name, they must become the third grade of a highschool from this April? (=12th grade)
S: I guess so.
"My parents tell me to start working if I don't know what I want to do. But if I choose to start working, I feel like I'm going to regret it very much."
H: I see.
"I would be grateful if you could give me advices on what I should do. Sorry for writing this long. Please keep doing your great work. I'm looking forward to the third broadcast too!"

N: So we received a message asking for a life counseling.
H: A counseling! We would like to answer these kind of problems in the broadcast too.
N: Yes, we are collecting such mesages too. A problem about what route to take for the fuue. Bu the way, what were you two into when you were in highschool?
S: Bands.
N: Bands!
S: I was only working on my bands.
N: Did you start playing instruments from highschool?
S: Well, I've been playing instruments all the way, but I first started playing guitar from highschool.
N: Is that so!
H: Hm, I see.

S: And then, I've got that black Sonic guitar, right?
N: Yes.
S: That's actually the guitar I originally bought in 12th grade.
N: Ah, is that so?
S: Yes. I repainted it later.
N: The one with Sonic eyes, right?
S: Yes, with the eyes. I bought it when I was 17 or 18.
N: So it's a seasoned player.
S: Quite a seasoned player.
N: So you were into music and guitar playing in highschool, and then...
S: Now I'm here. *laugh* I haven't changed.
N: You haven't changed from your root.
S: That's it.
N: How about you, Hoshino-san?
H: I used to doodle a lot from my childhood, but it was in my 12th grade that I finally decided to go to an university of art.
N: Ah, so about the same timing as this person.
H: Yes.
N: So you chose one path between going to an art school and start working?
H: I actually wasn't really thinking of starting to work, but I hadn't decided on what I was going to do until that point. I think I had a similar problem back then - that's what I thought by reading this message.
N: So when you were in 12th grade, you looked back at what you like and what you would like to do - and thought that university for art would be the best place to make your dream come true, at that point.
H: Yes, I finally understood that there. When I was young, I was interested in various things, but time was passing so fast. Time flies like sonic speed in youth compared to how time feels in our age now. So if you are not conscious enough to work on something, you miss opportunities to do many things - that's how I feel.
N: The speed of gaining experience is different in the youth too.
H: Right.
S: It's faster to build and absorb new things to grow as well.
N: Yeah.
H: So I think in order to find something you want to do, you need to try different things and meet something that fits you.

S: You meet them and challenge them.
H: Challenge. The theme of today.
S: We reached the theme of the day.
H: We connected it well.
N: But I think this person likes Sonic, and they at least found something they like.
H: Right.
N: I wonder if they love Sonic and games like the way Senoue-san loves music and guitar?
S: In my case, it was like 'I love games, or rather, Sonic. I love music too. So let's go to SEGA'.
N: I see. So you combined various factors to give an answer.
S: Yes.
N: And this person wrote that they might regret start working like their parents tell them to. So there might be something in their heart that they themselves haven't noticed yet.
H: That's possible.
S: Or they probably haven't come out with that something yet.
N: It might be good to talk about it.
H: This person in in 12th grade, that means they are in the same age as my elder son.
N: Oh.
H: And if you let me speak from a parent's view, we worry a lot about our children. So I would like to tell this person that it may be good to speak with your parents about it - for example, with your father, you could ask him to share his episodes of failure in his youth and what he regrets now. Then you might understand what they mean by saying such things - what they are worrying about you.
N: I see. Worrying about something means there is something that's unclear between the two. So if they speak with each other, both of them might feel better.
H: I think so.
S: Yes.
N: So please challenge various things. Of course, getting a job is one option too, but if you are feeling that you will regret it, you could go to university to find something you love to do.
H: Exactly.
N: Please try many things.
S: And send us messages again!

N: So, those were many messages we introduce today.

*moving on to next slide calling for messages*

S: Hey wait, what's with that one? "My dog attach to everyone except for me"?
H: Hahaha.
S: All of the [sample questions] are not in the mood for doing a thumb up [like Sonic does in background]...
H: Haha.
S: "I can't decide on what to eat as side dish for today's dinner"... This is now a pure counseling section.
N: Well, that's one good problem to be solved in life, isn't it?
S: I know, but...
H: It's like he's saying 'leave it to me!'.
S: Ah, that's what he wants to say?
N: Sonic answers every question in a positive attitude. So we should try to be like Sonic.
S: I see.
H: Let's do our best.
N: Any person has a problem of life, be it big or small.
H: That's true.
N: Like it says here...
H: *giggles*
N: Your dog won't attach only to you...
H: That's a very sad problem to have.
N: Well, for the 'can't decide on what to eat for dinner', it would be too late to get an answer in our broadcast...
S: True.
N: And "I'm bothered because the street light is always red as I want to cross the street" etc.
S: Choose a different street. *laugh*
N: So, here in Sonic Station LIVE!, we are calling for messages from you. Messages, questions or problem counseling, you can send us various messages for the two. Please use the QR code displayed or the link from YouTube description to send us messages through the message form. For example, you could ask about designs of Sonic series to Hoshino-san, or about sounds of Sonic to Senoue-san. Or it could be life problems like those listed here, or simple feedbacks to the broadcast. We are reading every message that was sent in, including those which were not introduced in the broadcast. So feel free to message us! That was it for the Message Section.

ENDING

N: So, with a fancy cut-in -
H: A smooth one.
S: It flowed away.
N: - this broadcast is coming closer to the end and it's time to say goodbye. This was the second broadcast. How was it? The game battle?
S: Well well well.
H: It was quite a blast.
S: To the theme 'challenge', I think this broadcast itself is very challenging.
N: I agree. ...Oh? The screen switched to background it seems.

S: This is Station Square?
N: Yes it is.
H: We showed you the scenery of it.
N: We are livestreaming somehere in there.
S: Somewhere in there...
H: ... we've got our studio.
S: Ooh.
H: But today we're in the base.
S: The set for the base.

N: Are you good? Did you have enough curry?
S: I'll continue with it after we're done.
N: Ah, you'll still eat it.
H: I thought it was the situation of 'the staffs ate it up later'. (*typical caption in Japanese TV programs where food is used and not ate up completely, to avoid complaints from viewers for 'wasting food')
S: No no.
N: Don't say that, or else it really seem like that.
H: Haha.
N: No worries, we will really eat it later.

N: So, this was the second broadcast. The Sonic 2020 Project itself is a challenge. And today we challenged to do a game battle.
H: Hmm.
S: And I was able to release the music just on time for today.
N: Right.
S: I'm relieved.
H: We were very busy.
S: We were.
N: And we'll continue our challenge.

N: Are there anything you would like to do in future broadcasts?
H: One thing I'd love to try is... a live public broadcast with fans.
S: A live public broadcast.
N: Ooh. Then at that time, Sonic Station LIVE! is a popular broadcast . And we invite many people to gather in front of us to do the livestream.
S: Then we can pick people right in front of us to answer their questions.
N: Wow.
H: That's very live-like.
S: Or run the 100m with that person.
N: A live battle. Or we could let one person chosen by Senoue-san and another person picked by Hoshino-san to battle against each other.
H: Hahaha.
S: That's good too.
H: That sounds fun.

N: Someday, we'd like to try such things. As for the Sonic Station LIVE!, we are broadcasting on SONICMOVIECHANNEL, Sonic's official channel on YouTube. Please like and subscribe to our channel.
H: Please do so.
N: Additionally, we are informing you about Sonic news on Twitter account Sonic Committee (@sonic20th) as well, so please follow it as well. We are waiting for your messages to the broadcast too!

N: So, Hoshino-san. When is the next Sonic Station LIVE! ?
H: We will broadcast somewhere towards the end of April, starting at the same time, 8 pm.
S: Detailed information will be announced on Sonic official Twitter, so don't miss it!
N: Well then, thank you very much for watching. See you in the next broadcast! Let's do that to wrap up.
H: Alright. Then next time -
S: *waves* Oh, I was too early.
H: All together, Sonic Station -
H&S&N: LIVE! *poses*
N: Thank you very much!
*everybody waves goodbye*

/////////////////////////////////////////
That was another fun broadcast! With Nanmoku-san also on screen, the team dynamic was even better this time. The fun game battle for Sonic Curry was exciting, and I was actually surprised that those two are very good at gaming! (I know Hoshino-san is in dev team and Senoue-san is a Sonic series fan, but still - I somehow didn't imagine them being good at it)

The new transitions between sections was a nice touch too. We also got new music and merchandise. The LINE stickers are just too adorable, I use them every day now. You should definitely get them too!

So many Sonic collaborations for the movie. I actually like that. I started playing man I y new games (e.g. Kotodaman, Chain Chronicle, Puyo Puyo Quest) and Sonic is usually a very strong character and easy to use, so it makes those who came just for Sonic (like me) stay longer with that game. A good tactic. And it makes older players use and get familiar with Sonic as well. Cool!

Also, the Sonic Tonic CM was just cute and hilarious. I really love the fact that they asked Sonic collaboration because of Hoshino-san's joke from 22 years ago. Nobody saw that coming! I also love to watch them talk about past events and  behind-the-scene infos.

And of couse, I was so happy they read my message! It really makes my day. I picked SSS because I heard somewhere long ago that the hedgehog trio Sonic, Shadow and Silver can be summarized that way/Silver's name was chosen to fit the pattern and I liked it so much; but somebody in live chat pointed out that it also sounds like Riders Shooting Star Story, which is true. So my idea was dismissed (no wonder), but I might try sending another idea to them :)
It was also nice to hear their background stories and insightful encouragement for those who sent in life problem questions. You can feel their good aura.

After the battle, the Sonic curry was shared by the two. :D

The next broadcast will be somewhere around end of April (it's not decided yet when exactly). Let's look forward to it! Don't forget to subscribe to their channel and Twitter and get updates!
