Naka-san on Google's new cloud console 'Stadia'

Google's new hardware: Stadia has been announced today and Naka-san tweeted his thoughts about it.

A Twitter user posted these pictures which he found at GDC2019, and Yuji Naka-san retweeted them.
The tweet shows a row of game consoles such as Dreamcast, ATARI, PlayStation and so on, and at last an empty box hinting at a new console developed by Google.


Later, an article about this new console, 'Stadia', was released from GIZMODO and Naka-san posted his own thoughts on the matter together with the link to an article:

Naka-san: "Google's hardware, sounds interesting. It drew my attention. Are future consoles going to be like this?
I'm looking forward to seeing who will be the first one to think of a game that is unique to such cloud console.
I guess at first there will be ports only."

This must be a very intriguing topic for Naka-san, who himself is a very talented programmer who was in charge of porting games to different systems and consoles when he was still a highschooler.

There are also rumor going around that Google and SEGA will be / have partnered up for the new console.
Let's see what they are going to present in near future! This new game streaming service might change our standards of gaming.

Sonic-related information for SEGA FES 2019 was updated!
Vsit SEGA FES 2019 in Akihabara on March 30th and 31st!


Summary from the official website:

  • Team Sonic Racing demo play in first floor demo game corner. Players obtain a special sticker.
  • A limited edition 'Umai-Bou' (stick snack) with Sonic design. Some will be distributed to early arrivals, the rest can be obtained by playing MEGA UFO CATCHER in the first floor.

  • Shiro Coppe (White Coppe Bakery)'s booth will attend the event, and attendants can buy the Sonic Chili Dog collaboration menu together with a collaboration tin badge. An acryl key chain will be sold at 500 yen + tax.
  • Sonic goods at merchandise corner: Sonic the Hedgehog plush ball chain, Japanese Sonic 'Tatami coaster' (4 versions), Japanese Sonic T-shirt ver. 4

  • Sonic will attend the event too! Look for him and take photos with him!

Team Sonic Racing: Overdrive was also announced on Japanese official Sonic account 'Sonic Committee', and they are doing a lottery to win various Sonic goods for those who follow the accound and retweet the corresponding tweet.




They also updated official website of TSR with new videos as announced at SXSW.
Bingo Party and TSR Overdrive Part.1 are now up!
