Page 2: Prologue

A suspicious invitation letter to Grad Prix race was delivered to Sonic and his friends. The person who appeared at the place given was another suspicious person proclaiming himself as Dodon-Pa!

Dodon-Pa tells them: "All you have to do is to team up with your friends and use the fastest machines developed by utilizing my state-of-the-art technology in full to become the champion" - while avoiding to answer the questions about the race. Sonic and co finds this sketchy, but he wouldn't stay still by hearing about 'the fastest machine'! They decide to join the race on spot and head to Planet Wisp, the planet in which the first race will be held.

Which team will grab the victory of Grand Prix race?
And what is Dodon-Pa's purpose......?

  • Rings: The speed of your machine increases according to the rings owned.
  • Boost Panel: Driving over it launches Boost Dash.
  • Item Box: Contains Wisp. The type of Wisp you pick up by yourself depends on your machine type and your rank at the moment.
  • Invincibility Capsule: It can appear at specific places on the course. Using it makes you invincible to any attacks and obstacles for a while.
  • Decelerating area: The area on which the car loses speed. There are variety of types, such as lawns and magma.
  • Obstacles: Spinning blades, stacked tires - various obstacles stand in the way in each course. Some of them make you spin, so be aware of your surroundings and avoid hitting against them!

Page 17-19: Driving Techniques

  • Drift/Drift Boost: When driving at over certain speed, press Brake/Drift button while tilting handle to drift. Drifting over certain time will give you Drit Boost when releasing the button.
  • Stunt/Stunt Boost: Perform aerial stunt and gain boost at landing. Boost length correlates with the number of stunts performed (max. 3 times). Failing to land properly will decelerate you and takes all rings away from you.
  • Start Boost: At the start of the race, press Accel button on the timings of countdown '3', '2', and '1' appear on screen to gain Start Boost. If you miss the timing, the boost power you gained until that points will reset, so be careful.

  • Rival Takedown: The team who is one rank above you will be set as your rival. Rival team's members are highlightet red, and if you spin them with Wisp attacks etc., your own Ultimate Gauge will increase.
  • Line Boost (Slipstream): Drive on your teammate's slipstream area (on the yellow line) to gather power, then get out of the line to activate Line Bost. The strength of this boost has three levels, depending on the time you were on the slipstream.
  • Touch Dash: Help your teammmate who decelerated after spinning by driving close to them. The teammate will gain speed immediately, and you will gain boost too. The greater the speed difference between the two, the stronger the effect.
  • Ultimate Boost: Performing team actions will increase the 'Ultimate Gauge' you share with your teammmates. When this gauge is full, each of the team members can activate Ultimate Boost at their chosen timings. Ultimate Boost makes you invincible with increased top speed and acceleration. Also, activating Ultimate Boost together with your teammates or spinning opponents by hitting against them while using it will prolong the effect time.

Page 36- : Tails' Advice!

Tails: From here, I will advice those of you who are struggling with Team Adventure. If you are in trouble utilizing the ability of your machine, have a read of this!

- I can't clear the stage!
Have a look at your status and customize it according to the stage you are challenging.
For example, in 'Dare Devil' or 'Ring Challenge' where precise handling is required, tuning parts that increase Handling ability are useful. In 'Egg Pawn Assault' where you battle with Egg Pawns, lay weight on Top Speed and Defence so that you can push them away!
In racing type stages, you might also want to try out Bonus Items you obtained in Gatcha.

- The challenges are so difficult that I can't collect Stars and Secret Keys!
Challenge stages, as the name tells, are the stages with difficult missions. The conditions for obtaining Stars and Secret Keys are set very high. Here, I will give you hints for especially difficult missions.

Ring Challenge
Some conditions for obtaining Secret Keys in Ring Challenge seem impossible, such as 'Collect 400 rings with one drift'. To clear this, you have to use the technique called ''[]"!
To explain this simply, this is a technique to 'change the machine's direction while drifting'.
While drifting, re-press the Drift button as you input the directional stick to the opposite direction. You can change the machine's direction while keeping your drift!

If you master this, you can perform long drifting as much as you want. It's useful not only in Ring Challenge but in many situations!

Dare Devil
In Dare Devil, your points increase the closer you are to the Star Post. If you compare the points you obtain when passing through the edge, the difference is obvious! Don't be afraid and aim for the closest point to the pillar.
...However! If you hit the pillar, the multiplier rate you obtained by going through the red frames will disappear. If a Star Post is in a difficult position, it's also a strategy to go through the edge.

Destruction
Destroy targets with Wisp to gain multiplying factor to the points for limited time. Repeat this and get high score!
The time for multiplyer extends every time you hit a target with Wisps, so try to keep this condition. If you can remember the placement of the targets and adjust the timings to use Wisps, then there is nothing more I can teach you!

Once you get the hang of it, all you need to do is keep on practicing! Believe in yourself and your machine!
