Blaze (Speed Type)
Joins the race with a speedy machine that fits her elegance and dynamism!
Silver (Technique Type)
Joins the race with a racing car with futuristic stramlined design!

Joins the race with a machine with fang-like front grill and huge speakers!
New course: Ice Mountain
A beautiful circuit covered in ice. Aim for the fastest lap by avoiding ice pillars on the course. There are places where guardrails are missing, so it's a course for racers with advanced skills who won't fall off the road! Also, don't hit against containers on the freighter in the middle of the course.This course will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2018's SEGA booth. please come and try it out!
Team Adventure Mode with a completely new scenario
- A completely original story mode in which players can enjoy conversation between Sonic characters
- Clear different missions and aim for the goal. Missions include:
- Survival Race: be the last team on the course
- Ring Challenge: collect given amount of rings within time limit. Remaining time increases with the number of rings collected, so try to gather them continuously!
- Dare Devil: drift through Star Posts in the course to gain points. There are red and yellow sides - red sides have higher points and demands players a very precise handling.
- etc.
- Proceeding with the story and unlock new playable characters or machine parts for customizaion, which can also be used outside of Team Adventure Mode
- Player can clear this mode both solo or with friends

- Sonic: "Let's go have a look. Don't worry, even if something happens, we'll be fine!"
One day, an invitation letter that says "Grand Prix Race" arrived to Sonic and his friends. Everyone suspects a conspiracy from this clearly dubious invitation, but then Dodonpa appears - a mysterious person who claims himself to be the organizer of the race. He tells them: "Prove me if you really are 'the fastest'." The conditions to join his race are: one, to ride on the racing cars Dodonpa prepared, and two, to form a team of three. It may be a trap - but Sonic is interested in 'the fastest racing car', and he forms 'Sonic Team' with Tails and Knuckles. Amy, Chao and Big, who were at the scene by chance, also gets involved and join the race.
Dodonpa
The mysterious organizer of the 'Grand Prix' race.While having a very suspicious looks, he invites Sonic and co to join his race as teams of three by driving machines he claims to have developed by himsel. His purpose remains unclear.
Three 'Local Play Mode' - for offline gaming!
Main feature of this game is the online battle with max. 12 players who cooperate with or battle against each other. However, even if you don't go online, there are plenty offline game modes!For each of them, player can choose to play in a team of three or as a solo race.
Grand Prix
- Play 4 courses and aim for the best allover score
- 7 Grand Prix with different course combinations
- Three difficulties: normal, hard, expert
- Choose between Team Grand Prix or Single Grand Prix
Exhibition
- Choose a course and customize race rules and settings, such as:
- Number or opponents
- Difficulty
- Total laps
- With or without items
- Mirror course on/off
- etc.
Time Trial
- Beat your own best time and become the top of leaderboards
- Use boosts effect of White Wisps effectively!
- Also play against ghosts of world's top players
Team Action is the key to the victory
Touch DashDrive near a teammate who lost speed to accelerate him/her machine!
Line Boost
Speed up by driving on own teammate's slipstream!
Item Box Tranfer
Exchange items between teammates anywhere on the course!
Rival Takedown
Take down the rival with a red marker and collect gauge for Ultimate Boost!
Ultimate Boost
A high acceleration to both the player and his/her teammates!

Team Vector is a surprise combination. Their machines look really nice!
Ice Mountain looks pretty. But I'm pretty sure I'll slip a lot and fall off the course...
And so many team actions and offline modes. Sounds fun!
