Thank you SO much to the Sonic team for letting me voice Irish the Hedgehog! They’re so fun to work with and I really appreciate how willing they are to make stuff like this happen. What was a dumb joke a year ago is now a full blown reality! Look at my beautiful boy!! pic.twitter.com/Hic00Xvsgj
A wonderful moment one-year in the making! So many people to thank: @Jack_Septic_Eye for ideas, adding to the lines, and bringing Irish the Hedgehog to life with his voice! @thesketchsector for tons of work to create the art! You nailed the Adventure-style perfectly. https://t.co/wnYtqnmrOl
Thank you @HyperPotions and @crush40 - they made a totally new version of "Escape from the City" which you can hear playing!
Sonic Team in Japan gave us great feedback on the art, and finally, thanks @KatieChrz and @ThormannJustin who put the final touches to bring it to life!
It was a fun project which started from a joke. The Sonic Team of US is great at picking up fan projects or memes and turning them into something we can all enjoy!

Ok, friends. I saw it last night. First and foremost, @rejectedjokes is my hero. HE WAS SO GOOD!!! Just captured Sonic’s personality like BLAM. Overall, really enjoyed the film. Fun, fast, witty, lots of Easter eggs. I ate ALL the popcorn. Quills up!! pic.twitter.com/RDrxNfw9D1

Ryan! This means so much to me! So happy you enjoyed the film and I remain beyond honored to be a part of this legacy alongside you! @RYANtheDRUMMONDhttps://t.co/EgfYp2G9or

News from 2020.03.09 Archived on 2020.05.17
Japanese Sonic fans were patiently expecting the release of Sonic the Movie (Sonic the Hedgehog) in Japan on March 27th, but due to the current unforeseen and severe medical circumstances with SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, they are forced to wait longer when it was already behind the global release.
Official statements by SEGA Official and Sonic the Movie Committee:
🔵[NOTICE] The release date of 'Sonic the Movie' in Japan which was planned on March 27th was postponed to an undecided date with agreement of Paramount Pictures with Towa Pictures, most likely due to the outbreak of new Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). https://t.co/m8tIZrWAgl
🔵Japanese Sonic the Movie voice casts payed visit to a Shinto shrine originally planned simply for wishing the success of the movie; thereupon they also prayed for a fast settlement of the situation with the new Coronavirus which caused the movie release in Japan to be delayed. https://t.co/EIFKh34C68
Let's all hope that this difficult situation will be settled soon so that fans can watch Sonic's adventure on big screen!

The first episode will broadcast on February the 20th, 18:00 Japan time! https://t.co/nuPHe8rhXU
The livestream is already being set on YT, so go check it out and turn on notification!
[The broadcast of February will cover Sonic games including the lately released "SEGA AGES Sonic the Hedgehog 2" for Nintendo Switch, and do-not-miss apparel goods of Sonic!]
I guess it's going to be something similar to a radio program. I already sent them a message - will it be read by Senoue-san and Hoshino-san? I'm looking forward to it very much!
Also, it would be cool if other members of Sonic series and voice actors are invited to the livestream as guests! Who would you want to come?
I wouldn't be able to do a live coverage, but I'll try to summarize contents after each broadcast. Stay tuned!
